Resources for School Productions

Putting on a school production?

Calico Young People’s Theatre provides production resources to support primary and intermediate schools throughout New Zealand’s North Island to mount large-cast productions with young performers. 

Production resources include script, pre-recorded music, scenery, props and costumes for 250+ children aged 5-13.

Production resources are available for 2024 and 2025 for the following shows:

The Snow Queen - adapted from Hans Christian Andersen’s tale by Jenny Wake

The Secret of Dongting Lake - adapted from a Chinese fairy tale by Michelanne Forster

Sapai and the Yam Snatchers - a Pacific adventure by Michelanne Forster and Leilani Unasa

Around the World in 80 Days - adapted by Jenny Wake from the book by Jules Verne

Maurice Gee’s The Halfmen of O - adapted by Jenny Wake
