The Dust Palace is Aotearoa’s most established circus theatre company, school and development space.

Founded in 2009 by Eve Gordon and Mike Edward, The Dust Palace has produced thrilling, narrative-driven cirque theatre and learning opportunities to engage with the circus artform for 15 years. The Dust Palace cirque theatre productions regularly tour Aotearoa, Canada and Australia and have wide appeal. The company is committed to creating narrative-based, genre-bending cirque theatre that both pleases and challenges audiences.

In addition to producing shows and providing education, the Dust Palace Charitable Trust takes a leadership role in the development of circus in Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond through professional development and advocacy work to increase access to the benefits of circus.

Most recently The Dust Palace in collaboration with Te Pou Theatre established Te Kura Maninirau, a new kaupapa Māori circus school with Te Ao Māori teaching pedagogy and are developed a large-scale production, Te Tangi ā te Tūī that toured Canada and Aotearoa in late 23/early 24.
