Open Call - New Voices Programme

After feedback received at the General Assembly in Cuba of ASSITEJ International, the Next Generation Programme has been revised and is now called the ‘ASSITEJ New Voices Fellowship’.

This edition is taking place at the ASSITEJ Artistic Gathering 2025 in Marseille, France, from March 23-30. 

This call is addressed to:

  • Fluent French-speakers

  • Aged between 20 and 35

  • Applicants should have experience in one or more of the following themes:   

    • Trauma informed practice for, with and by children and young
      people

    • Children and/or young people as co-creators

    • Community arts or applied arts

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to see multiple shows for young audiences and participate in an international professional exchange programme, including workshops, seminars, round tables and networking.

The New Voices program is intended to support artistic and cultural exchanges and collaboration during ASSITEJ events between international artists under 35 who are interested in theatre and performance for, with and by children and young people. The scholarship is designed to engage new people in the ASSITEJ community, supporting their connection and networking beyond the event itself. The ASSITEJ New Voices scholarship is co-funded by the European Union and includes accommodation, meals, tickets, passes and a contribution towards international travel.

A special focus of the 2025 New Voices Fellowship will be the work carried out around the world in the field of artistic practice in situations of crisis or trauma.
