Creatives in Schools
The Creatives in Schools programme is an opportunity for creative professionals to work in schools to deliver inspiring learning experiences for ākonga and students. It provides funding of up to $17,000 per project.
Applications for 2024 projects open on 16 June 2023.
The Creatives in Schools programme is delivered by the Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education in partnership with the Te Manatū Taonga | Ministry for Culture and Heritage and Creative New Zealand.
Schools, kura, and creative(s) work together to plan a project and then submit a joint application. If your application is successful, schools and kura will work with the creative to deliver the creative experience for students and ākonga. The project must run for between 8 and 20 weeks.
Creatives who want to participate in the programme can either get in touch with their local kura or school to discuss a project and make a joint application, or submit an expression of interest so schools and kura can search for them to help deliver their project.
Applications close at 11:59pm on Monday 21 August 2023.
