Fergus Aitken is a comedian, MC, clown, actor and teacher of physical theatre and mime..
In a varied comedy career spanning four decades and 15 countries, Fergus has been a living mannequin at Madam Tussaud’s in London; performed at Arts Festivals in Moscow, Edinburgh, Dublin, Glastonbury, Perth and Wellington; juggled with the NZSO; hosted burlesque cabarets, corporate events and rock concerts; worked pre-show to 3,500 people a night at the prestigious World of Wearable Arts Show.
At Sweetwaters Festival ’99, he was (inadvertently) a warm-up mime act for the Wiggles! Probably best known for his comic mime character MR FUNGUS In 2021, Fergus enjoyed a sold-out season of his MR FUNGUS show at Circa Theatre, and co-directed a physical theatre piece with the Basement Theatre Company in Palmerston North.
The MR FUNGUS theatre show returned in 2022, with a school holiday season at Centrepoint Theatre, Palmerston North.
